Washington State’s Homestead Law – It is Amazing!

May 12, 2021, Washington State updated it’s homestead law. The homestead was increased from $125,000 to the median value of a single family home located in that county. This means that in 2022 individuals and their family can protect the net value of their home up to $838,600 in King County! In Pierce County, the amount that you can protect is $508,300. In both cases, those amounts protect a median valued home in those particular counties based upon the values of the previous year. Check out your county exemption below.
